Hey guys! Okay so bear with me regarding the title, I know it probably sounds stupid. But you know those days where you don’t want to look all made up but you look at yourself and think, well I need to do something with this ugly mug. So voila, this is what happened.
Okay I started off by priming my skin with my Nivea for men cooling aftershave balm in sensitive. After this I applied my Mac Mineralize moisture foundation in NC15 and blended this in with my Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge. This is obviously an optional step but this foundation is a very light coverage and is very hydrating as I have quite dry skin. I then applied my Maybelline age rewind concealer to cover dem dark bags under my eyes (yay for exams), and also on any other spots of redness.
I then applied Rimmel london’s Stay matte pressed power very lightly with a real techniques buffing brush only in the places where I applied concealer. I don’t apply too much of this because it will look cakey and obviously normal skin doesn’t look cakey…
For those brows I filled in any gaps with my benefit brow zing, but in a very natural way, I then used my Rimmel london clear brow gel to keep my stray jungle brows in place. Side note, I know my eyebrows look very strong but its mainly because they are so dark naturally even though I’m blonde. This will confuse me to the end of my days, so just ignore them.
I then contoured and bronzed a tiny tiny bit, blended into oblivion so it just looks like natural shadows under my cheek bones. I used the sleek contour kit (light/medium), my Benefit Hoola bronzer, and my Real techniques sculpting brush for this.
The most important part of this look is the blush and highlight. For blush I used my bobbi brown blush in the shade Maui, I used a very light hand for this, and only applied on the apple of my cheeks for a natural look. I used my Benefit Watts up cream highlighter just above my cheekbones and on my cupid’s bow. This highlighter is really good because it gives a super subtle highlight so it just gives your skin a natural glow instead of shimmery af.
For my eyes I applied my Clinique Mascara, to give natural but super long eyelashes. I then applied a nude rimmel eyeliner in my waterline as it really opens up the eye!
For my lips I’ve tried this super exciting new lip ‘paint’ from Barry M in the shade Genie. Okay now look at this. IT’S GREEN. Green.
It comes out as a pink according to your skin tone which is actually super cute! Also it’s not quite a lipstick but more of a lip stain so I dabbed this around my lips and used my finger to rub this in. Again I applied very little as this can look a bit full on, but when applied lightly its a sort of your lips but better colour!
See you soon,
