Hey guys! Sorry I’ve not been blogging much this week I’m up to my ears in revision! Anyway, I was so excited to be tagged by beautylifeloves for this post as I’ve been secretly hoping for a tag like this for everyone to get to know me better!

1. What is one makeup item that you can not go a day without?

This is so difficult to decide! I think I’m going to have to go with concealer. I get quite dark under eye bags and it makes me look ill and tired (I’m always tired though), and people always say I look ill if I’m not wearing it (lovely). I think it just wakes me up a bit and evens out my complexion. Mascara is a close second though!

2. If you had to go without false eyelashes or no nail polish, which would you pick?

This is a hard question as I have only just really started wearing falsies and I only really wear nail polish if I can be bothered haha! I’m going to with keeping nail varnish, mainly on my toes because I hate the look of feet and toes with no varnish (that’s more my disgust of feet than anything else). I think with a good mascara you can get towards that falsies look!

3. What is your favorite way to unwind after a long week?

I have 3 things I’m going to mention because I’m greedy. Number 1 for me will always be reading. I think laying down in silence with a good book just helps me unwind and completely relax as you get sucked into the story. Number 2 is the Sims… Okay I know I sound like a complete nerd but I’ve basically played the sims since it came out, I think the time just flies when you’re playing it, and it’s a game I’m actually good at so it makes me happy! Lastly, I love going to the cinema. It’s basically been me and my best friends’ hangout place for the last 6 years really! I love not thinking about anything for a few hours, having a laugh with my friends/boyfriend, and the popcorn. Man do I love salted popcorn. I’ve actually been known to get popcorn from the cinema but not actually going to see a movie. I love it that much.

4. If you had to choose only one brand from the drugstore and use items only from that one brand, which brand would it be?

Oooh that’s hard. There are so many great drugstore brands! I’m going to go with Rimmel, But maybelline and L’oreal are close behind. I think most of my makeup products are from Rimmel, and you can’t go wrong with any of their eye liners or lip products!

5. Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging mainly for a new hobby I could really get stuck in with. My best friend has been blogging for quite some time now so I started looking at her blogs and others and really liked the blogging community! I’ve also been sucked into the beauty world and I like to blog as a way to have an outlet for all my beauty chats that people around don’t really care to hear about haha!

6. How long have you been blogging?

I’ve only really been blogging for a couple of weeks actually! I actually started the blog in december 2015 but didn’t start regularly posting at the end of march! Its going well so far and everyone has been so supportive and lovely!

7. What would be your top 3 makeup/beauty tips?

My number 1 tip is if in doubt, blend blend blend. This is especially the case with eyeshadow and contouring. The more you blend the more natural and seamless everything looks! My second tip is to always use a light hand. This tip is only something I’ve just got a handle of. Using a light hand allows you to get a more natural look and build up coverage  over time. This means you avoid have a crap load of product all over your face that you struggle to blend out and you end up looking like a muddy mess! Lastly I’d say, get the right tools for the job! This doesn’t mean you have to go spending a crap load on makeup brushes. Some of the cheapest brands have really good brushes and sponges, shout out to Morphe and Real techniques!

8. What would you splurge on without even a second thought?

Ugh, Eyeshadow palettes. I feel like with a palette you can justify the money because you get a number of colours. I will throw my money at the too faced chocolate bar palette and basically all of Urban Decay’s palettes.

9.What is your beauty secret weapon?

Setting sprays! Mac Fix + can be worn as a primer, a setting spray (Which gives the skin an amazing dewy look) and also can intensify the pigment of eyeshadows! The Urban Decay all nighter setting spray is also AMAZING. I always find my eyeshadow blends into a one colour mess by the end of the day but if I use the spray, then that makeup ain’t budging girl and it will look flawless.

10. Coffee or Tea?

Tea all the way! I’ve only tried coffee once and hated it, even though I think it smells amazing! I’ll still only have tea around once a month though, if that.
